Billionaire Investor George Soros’ Top 10 Investments

Hmmm, while going through the incoming emails in my Inbox, suddenly the title of a newsletter catches my attention. It says “George Soros’ Top 10 Investments”. Wow, that’s cool…

According to the report, Soros Fund Management LLC - the hedge fund of George Soros, has disclosed in the latest SEC filings of his latest nearly $2.9 billion investment moves in the third quarter. The hedge fund made some new investments and added shares to existing holdings.

According to the filings, Soros took a significant stake in chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) for the first time. He invested $20 million dollars into AMD, buying over 782,000 shares. Soros currently owns 213,749 shares and call options of AMD’s main rival Intel (INTC).

Soros also took advantage of McDonald’s spin-off of Chipotle Mexican Grill. He picked up more than 200,000 shares for an $11 million stake in the restaurant in the third quarter.

How about Soros’ biggest investments. According to the report, Soros’ top 10 holdings include four energy companies/funds, two healthcare companies, an airline, an online retailer, a holding company and a technology company.
